Is it safe to use car seat without ISOFIX?
If your car is not Isofix compatible, you will still be able to install your car seat using the seat belt installation method. The seat belt method is a universal method for installing car seats into any car.
Can you use a baby car seat without the base?

Typically, you don’t need the base to properly use your car seat — it’s just a convenience. To install without the base, just thread the seat belt through the grooves on the side of the seat and tighten in the same manner as above.
How do you check if your car has ISOFIX?
To find out if your car has Isofix points, look for Isofix labels between the base and back of your car seats (the fitting points themselves may also be visible) or check your vehicle’s handbook or contact the manufacturer or dealer.
Can I add ISOFIX to my car?
Most new cars will have ISOFIX, but in some cars it is not possible to install a support leg or top tether. No, not every Maxi-Cosi ISOFIX base fits every Maxi-Cosi car seat. There are different ISOFIX bases for different car seats, however there are some Maxi-Cosi ISOFIX bases that fit more car seats than others, such as the FamilyFix2 and FamilyFix3, which fit several Maxi-Cosi car seats.
When should I install the car seat during pregnancy?
Plan to have the car seat at least 3 weeks before your due date so you will have time to install it correctly and learn how to buckle the baby in safely.
